Deepavali : The Festival of Lights

Diwali (Deepavali) is the festival of lights symbols the victory of good over evil, brightness over darkness. Deepavali is a Sanskrit word, deep means light and avali means row of lights. Lord Narayan in his dwarf state banished the King to hell, 4^th day is Bhai dooj/ Yama dvitiya on this day all the sisters invite their brothers to their homes and treat them with oil bath, gifts, good lunch and pray for their long life, good health and prosperity.
